Subdivision 1. (a) A road authority may issue an annual permit for a vehicle or combination of vehicles with a combination of six or more axles to haul freight and to be operated with a gross vehicle weight up to: (1) 90,000 pounds; and (2) 99,000 pounds during the period set by the commissioner under section 169.826, subdivision 1. (b) The fee for a permit issued under this subdivision is $300. Subd. 2. (a) A road authority may issue an annual permit for a vehicle or combination of vehicles with a combination of seven or more axles to haul freight and to be operated with a gross vehicle weight up to: (1) 97,000 pounds; and (2) 99,000 pounds during the period set by the commissioner under section 169.826, subdivision 1. (b) The fee for a permit issued under this subdivision is $500. Subd. 3. Vehicles issued permits under this section must comply with all requirements and restrictions in section 169.865, subdivision 3. A vehicle may be operated under a permit issued under this section only to haul freight to or from a distribution facility that is: (1) constructed on or after July 1, 2013; and (2) located within the Department of Transportation District 4.
