Subdivision 1. No person shall smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or other smoking material in a hotel sleeping room designated nonsmoking. Subd. 2. A person who violates this section is guilty of a petty misdemeanor. Upon conviction, the court may require a person who violates this section to reimburse the innkeeper for actual costs, not to exceed $100, incurred to restore the room to its previolation condition.
